In just a few hours I will be back in New York.
It’s been almost 8 months since I’ve last seen the city. I left with a dismissive wave, ready to escape all of its obligations for a little while.
But over the last semester, I really have grown to miss it. 24-hour subways, the patchwork skyline, hell, even a fat, greasy slice of white pizza.
It’s time to buckle down. I won’t deny the past few months have been some of the best and most adventurous of my life, but I need to start thinking about the future. No more regretting last night’s misadventures, silently grumbling about colleagues, sweating the petty
[or, consequently, petting the sweaty.]
[shudder.]
